Employee Biography’s

Joey joined PDC in 2010 as Controller and provides strategic oversight of all accounting, payroll, and compliance functions. With more than 20 years of specialized experience in construction accounting, he brings a high level of financial leadership and operational insight that is integral to the continued success of the organization.

Jose began his career with Progression Drywall Corp in 2012, gaining hands-on field experience before earning his Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing from California State University, Northridge in 2017. He transitioned into project management and steadily advanced into his current role as Senior Project Manager & Estimating Lead, where he oversees pre-construction planning, estimating, budgeting, and project execution to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and high-quality delivery.

Outside of work, he enjoys off-roading, attending live sporting events, and spending quality time with his family

Jonny Magana started at Progression Drywall as a full-time drywall installer in 2006, he has worked his way up ever since becoming the hanging operation superintendent in 2011, determined to reach the top he continued to educate himself attending FMI Project Management training courses , journeyman status with the carpenters union, osha 30 certified , fork lift certified , cpr certified . Jonny is proudly now the General Superintendent since 2017 and is in charge of all operations in California. Jonny is a father of 3 and enjoys his classic vehicles and family in his spare time.

Hugo Perez serves as Operations Manager at Progression Drywall with responsibility for HR, regulatory compliance, and payroll. He brings over 25 years of business experience and strong ties to the Antelope Valley. He is known for a steady, people first approach and clear operational standards.

Hugo earned an MBA from CSUN and built his career in the automotive industry, holding multiple management roles. Those roles shaped a disciplined, practical leadership style.

Hugo enjoys family trips, trying new restaurants, and golfing, including playing bucket list courses.

Alan joined the Progression Drywall field team in 2018 and earned his journeyman drywall installer credentials while completing his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at California State University, Northridge. Graduating in May 2022, Alan joined our office team as a Project Manager where he has grown into a hybrid Project Manager and Estimator role focusing on customer relations and overall client satisfaction. Outside of work, Alan enjoys traveling, golfing, and spending time with friends and family.

Ronald Guzman has worked in the construction industry for over 23 years. His career began as a drywall taper, where the value of hard work was learned early on. He later journeyed out as a drywall pickup man, developing strong attention to detail and craftsmanship. Eventually, he advanced to the role of drywall foreman, gaining leadership experience while managing crews and job sites.

Today, Ronald serves as an estimator and project manager for Progression Drywall, where he has worked for a total of 15 years. Extensive field experience provides the knowledge needed to successfully estimate and manage construction projects.

Outside of work, Ronald enjoys spending time with his wife and family, whose support and inspiration continue to motivate him every day.

Vern has worked with PDC since 1986 as an estimator of drywall and other construction services.  When Vern is not working, he enjoys spending his time with his wife Nancy, hiking, taking grandchildren on adventures, and making memories with his 7 children and 17 grandchildren. PDC is very grateful to have his knowledge and experience as a Senior Estimator on our staff.

Austin joined PDC in June of 2016 after attending Cerro Coso College and has since grown into an integral member of our team. With nearly 10 years of hands-on industry experience, he brings a strong practical understanding of drywall and metal stud framing to every project he estimates.

Austin’s attention to detail, and ability to thoroughly analyze project scopes make him an essential part of our estimating department. His commitment to accuracy and collaboration helps ensure competitive, comprehensive proposals that support successful project execution.

Outside of work, Austin enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children. His dedication both professionally and personally reflects the strong work ethic and balance he brings to our team.

Chareh is an Estimator at Progression Drywall with a strong background in both field operations and construction estimating. With six years of hands-on field experience and three years dedicated to estimating, he brings a practical, real-world perspective to project planning and cost evaluation.

His time working in the field has given him a deep understanding of construction processes, materials, and jobsite challenges. This experience allows him to prepare accurate estimates while anticipating project needs and helping teams plan effectively. Chareh focuses on delivering detailed, reliable estimates that support smooth project execution and successful outcomes.

Cole is a business professional with a strong foundation in business operations and general business. His work includes project accounting, job cost tracking, and billings, where he brings accuracy, organization, and attention to detail. He also manages the company’s social media presence and contributes to website development, strengthening brand visibility and online engagement.

Cole earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from California State University, Bakersfield, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and was recognized as the top Business Administration student in 2025. Outside of work, he serves as an assistant softball coach at Antelope Valley College and enjoys traveling and creating social media content.

Jocelin works in Accounts Payable and Job Cost for the team, supporting the financial operations of our projects. She handles invoice processing, reconciliations, and assists with job cost tracking to help keep projects organized and on budget. Known for her strong attention to detail and organizational skills, she works closely with vendors and team members to ensure smooth communication and accurate records. She values building positive working relationships and helping projects run efficiently from start to finish.

Cristi thrives on organization and precision, bringing her background in banking and expertise in compliance and certified payroll to support smooth and efficient project operations. She is dependable, detail-oriented, and always striving to grow and contribute within Progression Drywall Corp.

Family is at the heart of Cristi’s life, and she treasures spending quality time with them whenever possible. She especially loves the summer months — swimming, traveling, and exploring new experiences that bring joy, inspiration, and a fresh perspective to both her personal and professional life.

Kathy serves as the welcoming face of our office. As a receptionist and file clerk, she manages daily front desk operations, maintains accurate records, and ensures smooth communication between the staff and field crew.

In addition to her administrative responsibilities, Kathy coordinates our annual Christmas celebration, bringing creativity, organization, and festive spirit to the event each year. She is also known for stepping in wherever needed, including willingness to take on new projects.
